What it is
Playtomic's level is a 0-7 numerical scale derived from a self-reported starting point and refined match-by-match. It's the most common shared vocabulary in recreational padel: when someone says 'I'm a 3.5', this is what they mean.
How it's calculated
New players answer a short questionnaire to estimate their starting level (1.0 — 5.5 typical). After each match, results adjust the level based on opponent strength and outcome — similar in spirit to Elo, but operating on a 0-7 scale.
Where it's used
Playtomic app (Spain, Italy, UAE, Saudi Arabia, France, Sweden, and growing). Many recreational clubs and WhatsApp groups use Playtomic levels as the lingua franca.
Strengths
