Rating system · FIP P-Tier
The FIP / federation tier system used in sanctioned tournaments.
Scale: P1 — P+
P-tier is the categorical ranking used by the International Padel Federation (FIP) and most national federations. Where Playtomic answers 'how well do you play', P-tier answers 'where do you finish in tournaments'. The two are correlated but not identical.
Tournament results in FIP-sanctioned or federation-affiliated events. Points accrue by reaching specific rounds; tiers correspond to bands of ranking points. Recreational play doesn't affect P-tier.
FIP world tour (P1, P2), national federations (Spain's FEDPA, Italy's FIP, UAE's Padel Federation), and most serious club tournaments.

FIP P-Tier is one of four common padel rating systems. The cross-walk lives at /padel-ratings — Playtomic and Smash share the 0-7 scale; FIP P-tier is tournament-categorical; tournament Elo is sanctioned-event-only.
