P+

What is a P+ in padel?

Elite/professional level in the padel rating system.

Definition

P+ (or 'Pro') is the elite professional tier in padel rankings, representing World Padel Tour players and international champions. P+ players are the absolute peak—executing all shots flawlessly under extreme pressure, with elite athleticism, mental fortitude, and tactical mastery. Very few players achieve this level.

Origin: English: 'P+' indicates 'Padel Plus' or professional rank, above the A-tier scale.

When to use it

P+ players compete on the World Padel Tour, international championships, and major exhibitions; they are the public face of professional padel.

Common questions

How many P+ players are there globally?

Fewer than 500 in the world; the WPT tour has roughly 200–300 ranked pros at any given time.

Can a P+ player lose ranking?

Yes—Glicko-2 ratings fluctuate with tournament results. A declining P+ can drop to A3 without tournament success.
