Cone Weave Lateral Agility Drill — Padel Drills

Execute cone weave patterns that develop lateral agility, footwork precision, and rapid directional changes. Cone weave drills simulate court movement patterns and build conditioning.

Technique: step by step

1

Cone Setup

Arrange 5-6 cones in a straight line approximately 2-3 feet apart across the width of the court.

2

Starting Position

Begin at one end of the cone line with ready position stance, prepared for rapid lateral movement.

3

Weaving Execution

Laterally weave through the cones using quick, controlled steps, maintaining low center of gravity.

4

Direction Change

Execute rapid direction changes at each cone, maintaining balance and control throughout.

5

Speed Progression

Gradually increase weaving speed while maintaining proper footwork and control.

6

Conditioning Integration

Perform multiple cone weave sequences to build conditioning and explosive lateral movements.

Coach tip

Focus on footwork quality and control before increasing speed; proper technique prevents injuries.
