Padel Leagues in UAE
The definitive guide to amateur padel leagues in the UAE. Abu Dhabi Padel League, Dubai leagues, club Americanos — formats, levels, costs, and how to enter.
The UAE now has more organised amateur padel leagues than any other GCC country — and 2026 is the first year the calendar actually looks like a real sports season.
The Abu Dhabi Padel League launched on 9 May 2026, finally giving the capital a structured competition to rival Dubai's club scene. Before that, most organised play happened through club-run Americanos and the odd tournament weekend. Good fun, but not exactly a league table.
I started tracking UAE padel leagues when we were building Smash because players kept asking the same question in our beta group: "I'm not good enough for Premier Padel but I want more than just casual club nights — where do I go?" The answer was always a mess of Instagram DMs, WhatsApp groups, and 'ask the front desk'. That shouldn't be how you find a season.
This guide is my attempt to fix that. I've listed every league and regular competition I can confirm or verify as active in May 2026 — and I've been honest about what I'm less certain of. A few of the club-run Americanos are marked 'likely active' because the clubs run them consistently but don't publicise dates far in advance. For anything flagged that way, the safest move is to contact the organiser directly.
The UAE padel scene is still maturing. Some of these leagues will grow, some will fold, and new ones will appear. I'll update this page as things change. If you're running a league that isn't listed, reach out — we want to be the most accurate source for this.

Choosing Your Level
UAE padel leagues use a P-rating system to split players into competitive brackets. P1 is the highest amateur level — players who can reliably attack, defend from the glass, and have played in competitions before. P2 is the most-populated bracket: regular club players who understand the game, have a decent serve, and can construct a point. P3 is for newer players and anyone in their first season of structured competition. Most leagues offer at least P2 and P3 divisions. If you're brand new, go P3 — it's not a consolation bracket, it's where you'll develop fastest and actually enjoy your matches. The Dubai Padel League splits P2 into upper and lower sub-groups during the season if enough teams register, which gives you a more accurate match quality. If you've only been playing six months or less, P3 is the right call regardless of how good your casual club nights feel.
Typical Costs
Season fees vary significantly by organiser and format. Club-run weekly Americanos are the cheapest entry point — most charge between AED 60 and AED 120 per session, sometimes included in a court booking fee. Monthly or seasonal leagues typically run AED 200 to AED 600 per player for a full season, depending on the number of match weeks and whether a jersey or prize fund is included. The Premier Padel UAE Amateur Series charges a per-tournament registration fee of approximately AED 250–400 per pair, rather than a season fee. Some clubs bundle league entry with an annual membership — worth asking about if you're playing weekly. None of these costs include court hire for practice sessions between fixtures.
How to Find a League
- 1
Ask at your home club's front desk — most clubs either run their own league or know the nearest one.
- 2
Search Instagram for '[your city] padel league' and follow the organisers — most leagues post schedule updates on IG Stories.
- 3
Join UAE padel Telegram channels — search 'UAE Padel Players' and 'Dubai Padel Community'. Leagues regularly post open spots here.
- 4
Use the Smash partner-finder (partner finder) to find players near you — you can ask directly in the app whether they're in a league.
- 5
Check whether your club is affiliated with the Dubai or Abu Dhabi Padel League — affiliated clubs usually have a registration sheet at reception before each new season.
- 6
If you can't find a league with available spots, ask your club to join the Smash Club League pilot — the app handles all the admin for them.
What to Bring
Your own racket — club rentals exist but you'll play better with a familiar frame.
Two cans of padel balls (most leagues ask each pair to bring one can per match).
Padel-specific court shoes — running shoes are slippery on artificial turf and will get you hurt.
A full water bottle — UAE heat and indoor humidity both drain you faster than you expect.
A change of shirt — you'll sweat through your first one before the match ends in summer.
Your Smash app open on your phone — for live scoring if your club uses it, or just to log the result after.
Small cash or a card for any entry or court fees payable on the day.
Ten minutes early — league courts run to tight schedules and a late pair delays everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Abu Dhabi Padel League?
The Abu Dhabi Padel League is a structured amateur padel competition that launched in Abu Dhabi in May 2026. It is the first city-wide league format in the capital, offering round-robin group play across skill brackets. Contact the organiser directly for current registration details, as schedule information was limited at time of writing.
Do I need a partner to enter a padel league in the UAE?
Most Round Robin and seasonal leagues require you to register as a pair. Americano formats are the exception — by design, Americano rotates partners every round, so you can enter alone. If you need a partner for a league, the Smash partner-finder (/partner-finder) is the fastest way to find someone at your level in your city.
What P-level should a beginner enter?
P3 is the right starting point for anyone in their first year of organised padel. Even if you feel competitive during casual club play, P3 league opponents will have stronger technique and match awareness than most casual players. Starting at P3 means competitive matches, faster improvement, and a better experience than being outclassed in P2.
How long does a padel league season last in the UAE?
Most UAE padel leagues run two seasons per year, broadly aligned with the cooler months: January to April, and September to December. The summer months (May to August) see fewer fixtures due to heat, though indoor venues do run competitions year-round. Exact season lengths vary by league — check with the organiser for the current year's dates.
Can I use the Smash app to manage league results?
Yes. Smash is built specifically for organised club padel. If your club runs a league through the Smash platform, you can log match results, see the live table, and track your season statistics in the app. Ask your club whether they are enrolled in the Smash Club League pilot, or visit /for-tournaments for information on getting your club set up.
Are there mixed-gender padel leagues in the UAE?
Yes, several leagues offer a Mixteam or mixed doubles format. The Dubai Padel League and some club-run Americanos include mixed divisions. 'Mixteam' specifically refers to a format where pairs must be mixed-gender. Check the specific league's registration page or contact the organiser to confirm whether a mixed division is available in the current season.
