The Shape-Shifter
Flexible athletes who become whatever is needed. They match opponents' styles and neutralize their strengths.
Develop chameleon abilities by mastering multiple playing styles and selecting which to deploy. Build a complete skill set: aggressive and defensive, baseline and net, fast and slow. Watch opponents early and identify their strengths, then adopt a style that neutralizes or complements those strengths. If they're aggressive, become defensive. If they're defensive, become aggressive. If they rely on baseline, dominate net. Develop the intelligence to make these adjustments. Your mentality is: what does this opponent fear? Become that. Importantly, don't just react; proactively choose your approach based on scouting. Develop the execution discipline to play multiple styles reliably.
Chameleons adapt to you, so force them into unfamiliar situations. Attack aggressively and relentlessly so they can't find a rhythm or identify weaknesses. Use specialization—if you specialize in baseline play and they don't have clear net identity, you have advantage. Keep them from settling into any style by constantly varying. Maintain aggressive pressure so they're always reacting rather than executing chosen styles.
