The Angler
Angle Masters use sharp angle shots to move opponents laterally and open court space. They excel at exploiting court width and creating winners through angle play.
To play like an Angle Master, develop exceptional angle-shot execution. Practice hitting balls at different court positions and angles. Study court geometry to understand where angle shots land relative to your position. Develop footwork that positions you for angle execution. Practice hitting angles from various court positions. Build consistency with angle shots through repetition. Use angle shots strategically—hit them when they create meaningful lateral movement. Follow angle shots with attacks to the opposite court area. Don't hit every shot as an angle; use angles strategically within point sequences.
To beat Angle Masters, position yourself to cover angles by staying central and moving laterally efficiently. Cut off angle shots with quick net play. Hit through the middle to prevent them from positioning for angle shots. Serve with deep, straight serves that prevent angle-shot setup. Don't allow them to establish favorable positioning for angle execution.
